What Cremation Glass Products Do We Offer? A Guide to Our Handcrafted Memorial Glass Collection
When families first discover cremation glass, they're often surprised by just how many possibilities there are.
For some, the idea of incorporating a loved one's cremated remains into glass artwork is completely new. Others may have seen a memorial pendant or glass marble and wondered what other options might be available.
At David Contreras Glass, we believe that remembrance should be as individual as the life being honored.
Some families want something they can wear every day. Others are drawn to a beautiful piece of artwork they can display in their home. And sometimes, families want several smaller keepsakes so that siblings, children, or grandchildren can each have something meaningful to hold onto.
There isn't one right choice, and that's part of what makes memorial glass so personal.
Our collection includes handcrafted cremation glass pendants, memorial marbles, touchstones, sculptures, keepsakes, decorative vases, and pet memorials. Each is created to preserve a small portion of cremated remains within glass, transforming them into a lasting work of art.
Let's take a closer look at the different types of memorial glass we offer.
Cremation Memorial Pendants and Jewelry
For those who want to keep a loved one close throughout the day, cremation glass jewelry offers a beautiful and personal option.
Our memorial pendants are handcrafted with a small portion of cremated remains permanently encased within the glass. Unlike traditional urn jewelry that contains a small compartment for remains, our pendants incorporate them directly into the artwork.
Our collection includes teardrop pendants, colorful rainbow designs, Heaven and Heaven Opal pendants, implosion glass designs, ocean-inspired pieces, and other unique styles.
We also create meaningful designs inspired by nature, including sea turtles, ammonites, and starfish.
Some families choose colors that remind them of their loved one's personality, while others select a design that represents a special memory or connection.
These pieces are intended to be worn, treasured, and passed down as personal heirlooms.
Cremation Memorial Marbles
Memorial glass marbles are among the most recognizable forms of cremation glass art, and they remain an important part of David's collection.
Each marble is individually handcrafted using traditional lampworking techniques, with cremated remains incorporated into the glass during the creative process.
Our marble collection includes Heaven, Heaven Opal, Implosion, Teleport, Dichro Swirl, Rainbow Bridge, and other distinctive designs.
Some feature intricate layers of color, while others incorporate precious metal fuming, luminous dichroic glass, or opal accents that create remarkable depth and movement.
One of the beautiful qualities of a glass marble is the way it interacts with light. As you turn it in your hand, different colors, patterns, and details reveal themselves.
Many families choose to display their memorial marbles on a stand in a special place at home. Others appreciate being able to pick them up, hold them, and enjoy the artwork from different angles.
Cremation Memorial Touchstones and Pocket Keepsakes
Not everyone wants to wear jewelry or display a larger sculpture.
For families looking for something simple and comforting to hold, our memorial touchstones and pocket-sized keepsakes offer another meaningful possibility.
Our Rainbow Cremation Memorial Touchstones and Reflecting Ocean Cremation Memorial Stones are designed to be held, displayed, or kept nearby.
The Reflecting Ocean stones are inspired by the movement and colors of the sea, with unique patterns created through the interaction of precious metals and glass.
These pieces are also wonderful options for families who wish to share a loved one's remembrance among several people.
A collection of memorial stones can be divided among siblings, children, grandchildren, or close friends, allowing each person to carry a personal connection to someone they love.
Cremation Memorial Glass Sculptures
For families who appreciate art, nature, or the ocean, our memorial glass sculptures offer a different way to celebrate a life.
David has spent decades developing his skills as a glass artist, and sculptural glasswork remains an important part of his creative expression.
Our cremation memorial sculpture collection includes sea turtles, octopuses, the Eternal Scarab, and other artistic designs.
Our sea turtle memorials are especially meaningful to families who share a connection to the coast, marine life, travel, or the natural world.
Each sculpture incorporates a small portion of cremated remains within the glass while allowing the artistic design to remain the centerpiece.
Rather than resembling a traditional urn, these pieces become part of a home's artwork, often inviting conversation and sharing the stories behind them.
Cremation Memorial Vases and Decorative Glass Art
Memorial glass doesn't have to be something worn or held.
Our collection also includes decorative glass vases, including heart-shaped memorial vases, single-stem moon vases, and starfish-inspired designs.
These pieces combine the beauty of functional or decorative glass art with the personal meaning of remembrance.
A memorial vase can be displayed on its own or incorporated into a special place in the home, offering a gentle and artistic reminder of someone whose memory continues to be cherished.
Heart-Shaped Cremation Keepsakes
Hearts have long been associated with love, connection, and remembrance.
Our heart-shaped cremation memorial keepsakes offer a simple, timeless design that can be displayed or held.
Available in different artistic variations, including opal-accented designs, these pieces are often chosen by families who prefer a familiar symbol of love rather than a more elaborate sculpture.
Their smaller size also makes them a thoughtful option for sharing memorials among family members.
Pet Cremation Memorial Glass
The bond we share with our animals is incredibly special, and their loss can leave an enormous space in our everyday lives.
Our pet memorial glass collection offers families a way to honor those companions through meaningful, handcrafted artwork.
We create pet-inspired memorial pendants featuring paw prints, dog silhouettes, cat silhouettes, dog bones, and other designs.
Families can also choose memorial marbles, heart keepsakes, sculptures, or ocean-inspired stones to remember a beloved pet.
A pet memorial doesn't necessarily need to feature an animal design. Sometimes a favorite color, a familiar shape, or a particular glass pattern feels like the most fitting tribute.
We welcome those personal connections because they often lead to the most meaningful pieces.
Memorial Glass Sets for Families
Sometimes one memorial piece simply isn't enough, especially when family members have different preferences.
One person may want a pendant they can wear, while another prefers a marble to display at home.
For this reason, we also offer coordinated memorial glass sets that combine different types of keepsakes, including matching pendants, marbles, and touchstones.
These collections provide a way for family members to choose how they want to remember while sharing a common artistic connection.
Can Cremation Glass Be Personalized?
Absolutely.
While our website features an established collection of memorial designs, there is often room to personalize colors, patterns, and certain artistic details.
Some families come to us with a clear vision. Others simply tell us about the person or pet they are honoring and ask what might be possible.
David works with borosilicate glass, using techniques that may include precious metal fuming with gold and silver, dichroic glass, opal accents, and intricate color layering.
Because each piece is individually handcrafted, no two memorials are exactly alike.
If you have an idea that isn't represented in our collection, you're always welcome to reach out and discuss it with us. Not every design is possible, but we're happy to explore ideas that fit within David's artistic techniques.
How Much Cremated Remains Are Needed?
One of the questions families frequently ask is how much of their loved one's cremated remains they will need to provide.
For most of our memorial glass pieces, approximately 1/8 teaspoon of cremated remains per piece is all that is needed.
After placing an order, families receive a complimentary cremains collection kit with the materials and instructions needed to send a small portion of the remains to our Florida studio.
Once received, David carefully incorporates the cremated remains into the glass during the lampworking process, permanently encasing them within the finished artwork.
We also retain remaining cremated material for 90 days, giving families time to request additional memorial pieces without having to arrange another collection.
Where Is Our Cremation Glass Made?
Every memorial handcrafted by David is created in our family-operated studio in Palm Coast, Florida.
With more than two decades of glassworking experience, David brings years of technical knowledge, artistic exploration, and personal care to his memorial work.
Although we're based in Northeast Florida, we work with families throughout the United States. Our collection kits make it possible to arrange a memorial from nearly anywhere in the country, and we also work with funeral homes and cremation providers to help families explore their options.
Choosing a Memorial That Feels Right
There are many ways to remember someone, and cremation glass is just one of them.
Some people find comfort in having a pendant resting close to their heart. Others love seeing a colorful marble illuminated by the morning sun or a small sea turtle sitting on a favorite shelf.
The beauty of memorial glass is that it doesn't have to look or feel like a traditional memorial.
It can be colorful, joyful, peaceful, intricate, simple, or inspired by something deeply personal.
What matters most is the connection it represents.
At David Contreras Glass, we're honored to help families turn those connections into handcrafted heirlooms that can be treasured for generations.
